About the Board & Committees

     John has served on the Board since 2021 and as President since 2024. He previously served as Secretary. John and Leisa first bought property in The Highlands in 2017 and completed construction of their home in 2022. Professionally, John works as General Counsel for a nonprofit corporation and as a mediator. His prior legal practice emphasized intellectual property, business disputes, and complex litigation. Before moving to Idaho in 2005, John served as President of a 4,000 unit HOA in California. His current term expires June 2029.

     Don joined the Board in 2026 as Secretary. Don and his family are currently building their home in the Highlands, with plans to move in by summer 2027. He brings a wealth of leadership experience; having served on five previous boards throughout his career, including prior HOA experience. Originally from California, where he served his community as a volunteer firefighter, Don has called Georgia home for the past 15 years. He currently works in aircraft parts distribution. His current term expires June 2027.

 

Joanne Kosciolek, Treasurer

     Joanne has served on the Board since 2020; first as President from 2020-2024, and currently as Treasurer. Joanne and Randy bought their house in the Highlands in 2019 and have lived here permanently since June 2025. Joanne's professional background, for over 30 years, was in fundraising and communications for nonprofit affordable housing developers. She has served on nonprofit boards and worked closely with executive boards during her career in nonprofit. She is a native Minnesotan. Her current term expires June 2028.

 

     Renee has served on the Board since 2021 as a Member-at-Large. Renee and Loyd moved to the Highlands in 2017; originally from the Chicago area. Renee currently works at St. Luke's in McCall as an MRI lead technician in the hospital. Her career in the medical field expands over 30 years. She has also held a variety of volunteer positions within different organizations. She brings strong expertise to the board as a full-time resident and provides valuable HOA historical background. Her current term expires June 2029.
